Though the doors (Im Nin'alu)

Though the doors (Im Nin'alu)
Original text from the Yemenite Diwan
Music: Rabbi Shalem Shabazi

Though the doors of the bountiful have shut
Heaven's doors haven't shut
God lives on high hailed by cherubs
All in His spirit will rise up.

For they are close to His throne
Lavishing His name with praise
Creatures fleeting to and fro
Since creation day embraced.

The heavenly spheres thunder
Extolling and sanctifying His name
Robed in His glory's splendor.

And with six wings they orbit
Soaring as they whirl round
Lifting their voices in sweet songs
Together in Marvel arrayed.
